Hindsight (2020)

Photographing Los Angeles in 2020, from the George Floyd protests and the Covid-19 quarantine to the Kobe Bryant tragedy.

Almost 6 months into 2020 I feel like the world has shifted multiple times. Photographing the streets of Los Angeles while so much is going on has been a challenging, yet rewarding experience. This set of images starts where we are today, in the middle of an uprising over the murder of George Floyd, and ends at the beginning of the year, before the Kobe Bryant tragedy and the Covid-19 quarantine. If I’ve learned anything from all this it’s that L.A.’s resilience is unmatched.
